Healthcare has been the RCC's golden goose for awhile now. The news that they wish to expand and consolidate their market share is unsurprising. Attendance and donations are down. The Church is the largest non gov healthcare provider in the world, and charity care accounts for only @2% of patients, same as every other for-profit hospital.

Sure, alot of their revenue is in the form of next-level welfare queen-ism..so they can claim to provide care for free -to the patient-........but it amounts to nothing more or less than an ingenuous way to continue to tax the citizenry long after it was stripped of that ability in any country with an ounce of common sense.

The church is a constant scam about "charity."

It was a long time ago...back in the 60's... when the fuckers were always passing out envelopes and taking special collections for a) missionaries b) roof repairs c) the poor d) Fr. O'Malley's prostate operation, etc.

They get the sheep to fork over money and then claim that the "church" is being charitable. Scumbags.

As Pope will come to Chile people will protest the fact that he appointed a bishop who is a pedophile and also that he doesn't want to remove over 70 members of clergy that have been accused of molesting children

I didn't think we needed (or would get, actually) such convincing, over the top evidence this Pope is guilty of complicity in literally thousands of cases of priestly pedophilia.

The church is NEVER going to solve this problem.

I renew my call for the Catholics to make sexual abuse a sacrament. It's the only way out they have left open. Lord knows they ain't going to stop ejaculating in children and/or covering up for each other every goddamn time it happens.
