It's lovely to see so many familiar faces, and nice to meet new ones too
I won't disappear again, don't worry. I had some issues I needed to work through. I'm sorry I had to leave, and that I handled it so badly.
I have my god damned interview tomorrow, I'm bricking it... I'm not assuming I'm going to get it, I'll just try my best and see what happens. If I can trick them into thinking I'm not a total spamradish then maybe I'll have a chance. We have plans in place to support me if I do get it, with hairy child care and such, as working a full day is something I haven't done in over 10 years.
Can you take the job on a trial basis and not give up gov benefits right away? Ya know, just in case things don't go as planned. Give them like a 1 or 2 week freebie?
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

That would be awesome, but I don't think there's any chance. I'll already be asking for a few concessions to make things easier on me, if I push it any further they'll just pick someone else. I appreciate the thought though
I'm feeling more positive now, I think this could be just what I need to turn the corner.

Great to see you back.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Thank you!
I think it went very well! They seemed very pleased with my answers. I was up front about my illnesses, and I think they appreciated that. I'm going to be a gamble because of the M.E. and I think that would be the biggest reason they might turn me down. They're seeing two other people tomorrow, and of course one of them might blow them away or have tons of relevant experience. It's hard to know, but I feel I'm in with a shot.
I should find out this week they said! Even if I don't get it, I'm really pleased I got an interview and managed to see it through. It was really hard work, getting through mountains of anxiety. First interview I've had in 12+ years!

I talked to them today, they are still considering who to pick, and they're giving me a work trial next weekend! This is the best possible result, as I'll get to find out how I cope with it too. I'm so excited! I almost feel happy
