I like NPR and the NYT (non opinion), and the newswires for raw news.
The worst sites: RawStory, MSNBC, Fox News, Breitbart for both sides.
This is a good list.
I would add that I like BBC because it gives a different (non American) perspective on a lot of stories.
Indeed I would urge to look at how news in the US is reported by other countries without the political bias.
BBC news always goes out of its way to present both sides and gives a rounded view.

Best - BBC, NPR, WaPo, NYT, wire services
Worst - Fox, MSNBC, aggregators with an agenda
I hestiate to put the likes of Brietbart, Infowars etc in the "News" department.

CNN does a fine job.
I prefer the Times and Washington Post. TV News never does anything in enough depth. And the constant commercials are annoying as hell.
FOX is for morons.
I hate TV news too.

My favorites are usually BBC or NPR. I don't know about the worst ones because I don't watch the news or read anything that seems remotely biased.

Why does everyone hate MSNBC? I don’t ever watch it; I’m just curious.

Reality has a well know liberal bias..however..NPR is very credible, and dishes out centrist reporting. The idea that it's a liberal bastion is more a quirk and consequence of it being a non-profit. Soshulisms bad, mkay!

I haven't got that vibe from them. I see plenty of pieces that are negative for both sides of the aisle, which is usually a decent indicator that, if there is bias, it's as minimal as it gets in mainstream media.
