Like what it cost to apprehend, transport and guard those people.

Apprehending them isn't part of the $750/day to house them, and transportation probably isn't either. You may find this hard to believe, but for $3,000 a day for a family of four, I can afford to hire security for just those four people, have plenty left over to house them, and make a profit for myself in the process. I'm one of those rare people who can make $21,000 a week to manage a family of four work. I'm, like, a financial genius. And I'd have a new house at the end of it, too. At the end of a year, I could spend six million dollars on keeping that family cared for, safe, AND secure, and still wind up a millionaire myself while providing jobs in my community.

It's freaking $750 per day per person!

Got the official GSA audit on that - or just something you found on the internet?

RE: Open borders
We should issue a guest or worker visa to anyone who enters through a legal port of entry and gives finger prints, a DNA sample, and allows a photo ID to be made; who isn't known to be a felon. Voila, they are now documented, pay all their taxes, and employers can't threaten them with deportation if they don't work under minimum wage. If they commit crimes, we already have their fingerprints, DNA, and photo in our databases; which would not only facilitate catching them, it would likely be a powerful deterrent. Since they would be here on visas, they can still be deported if necessary. The BP wouldn't have to be on the lookout for would-be berry-pickers and dishwashers, anyone trying to bypass that easy means of entry probably really is a bad hombre.

That would not only be more humane than what we're doing now, it would be more secure.

Ahhh.. Insults..

You seemed authoritative on what did and what did not figure into the accounting numbers.

Now.- either you do - or you do not have a breakdown on the data.

Considering your defensiveness and quick resort to insult - I am going to go out on a limb here and guess you do not actually have any of the accounting data to share - just a number - $750. You seem unwilling to divulge that figure's source.

Who is doing the rectal acquisition here?

Easy way to cut through the bullshit. Would it matter? Let’s say half of that amount is the housing, hell, a quarter, a tenth. It’s still more than Americans house a person for in better conditions than a concentration camp.

Let’s not kid ourselves by pretending that this isn’t a huge profit spigot, we know that it is.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I've yet to see anyone substantially explain why we shouldn't let these people in. We're just told we shouldn't.

But what do you think of MA’s hypothetical proposal? Since it’s relevant to your OP and all...

Criminals and rapists and takers and the great replacement.

Wasn’t so long ago that we thought we should bar German and Irish immigrants for the same reasons.

Hail Discordia!..I guess. Wink

One slight difference -- if we had allowed unlimited entry to the Germans and Irish - they couldn't just walk across the border.

....

Nature seeks a level.

If you allow unfettered entry - it will eventually get to the point that nobody will want to come here. It will be the same here as the place they left.

You want to live in a place nobody wants to come to?

Lol, whatever. Moving forward from that tidbit...why...why would no one want to come here? People have been coming here for 13000 years.

Hell, they even want to come here when they know we’ll file them away in concentration camps.

Why, exactly, do you imagine that allowing immigrants into the country will make it “exactly like the place they came from”.,.and can you tell me how that’s not the great replacement theory?
