Refuting Theistic Argument
#21
RE: Refuting Theistic Argument
My theistic friends told me that I have to believe in God! do you know why ?
why Jesus believed in God! that the mistake of atheists is to think that Jesus and God are the same thing! and that Jesus was an envoy of God and that Jesus is not God!

It's a coincidence! Tut Tut

Is it? OK then.

The burden of proof lies fairly and squarely with the claimant.

If they claim there is a god, then they are on the hook to provide evidence for said claimed deity.

If YOU, in response, make the claim that you do not believe in any god and/or gods then you are on the hook to provide evidence for that claim.

Your argument then becomes as follows...

"I claim that I do not believe in any god and/or gods. As evidence I present the simple fact that I do not believe in any god and/or gods." and you are done. Nothing further is required, or can be demanded as evidence.

All that tells me is that you need to get a different set of friends.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

There are already a couple of them here in the old threads.
