Posts like this make me look forward to your contrarian bent.
And in all seriousness. I cant imagine spending one day in jail for something I did not do. I am sorry you went through that.
Yeah, I really don’t want your sympathy. I was trying to point out that stuff happens to everyone, in the hope that you might be a little less self-absorbed. Clearly, I failed.

I wasn't conveying sympathy. Damn dude, even when I agree with you you still play contrarian.
Nope sorry, I was only accused, you went to jail. I think going to jail for something you didn't do ALWAYS beats just being falsely accused but not wrongfully convicted.
The only way your logic works is if you claim you are not sorry you were in jail for 7 months. I damned sure would be pissed about lost time due to confinement falsely thrust on oneself.
So are you saying you are not pissed for being jailed wrongfully? If you are, AS ANYONE WOULD BE, that'd be a damned good reason to say "fuck you Brian, you only got accused".
Why do you have an obsession to always disagreeing with me, even when I agree with you?
Why do you have a problem with me now saying I'd hope for you not ending up in jail for 7 months?
If your argument is "Shit happens" NO KIDDING!
I agree, but when that "shit" happens to you, or me, and that "shit" is negative, REGARDLESS of degree, it still sucks. In your case, your "shit" was worse than my shit.
Why would you have a problem with me admitting you went through worse than I did?

'I'm sorry' is an expression of sympathy.
I never said I was 'wrongfully convicted.' I wasn't convicted of anything. A conviction requires charges and a trial.
I'm not sorry I was locked up for those seven months. Anger doesn't equal sorrow.
It isn't about agreeing or not agreeing. It's about you being a self-absorbed many-boy and trying to make everything about you.
It's also not about who had it worse.
You keep using the word 'contrarian'. It doesn't mean what you think it means.

Reading the rape allegations I tend to lean towards the fact that she was raped, the stuff he said to the police and the evidebce from the examination looked pretty damning. Of course the case was dropped Kobe is a powerful guy with a lot of money and he settled in civil court. I mean you can either take 2.5 million or you can have your life ruined in front of the world by Kobe's legal team and he probably walks away anyway.

Cosby is a pretty powerful guy with alot of money, ( a heck of alot more money than Kobe) how did that work out for him? Can't have it both ways. It's funny how black men don't even have to be convicted in order to still be guilty.
Meanwhile Oprah is ready to produce a documentary focusing on sexual allegations of another black male.

The chief difference in the outcomes of the two cases is that Bryant’s accuser refused to testify, while multiple women testified against Cosby. It isn’t much of a leap to imagine Bryant’s lawyers offering a civil settlement for the girl declining to take the stand.
I think you misunderstand what your linked article is about.

Cosby was different, he was brought to trial during the me too movement by multiple accusers and he admitted to drugging the women, it was never a question of being consensual. The woman in the Byant case was going up against as superstar with a powerful legal team and full time PR staff in a case in which she had to get people to believe her version of events. Shame on you for throwing that comment in there about black men when the Kobe case had nothing to do with race and I clearly said I thought he raped her based on his statements and the medical evidence.

I'm not convinced that Kobe was a rapist. The forensic evidence, witness statements regarding the accuser gushing/bragging about Bryant's BBC, and the accuser's admitted lie regarding the details immediately following the encounter leave enough of room in my mind for reasonable doubt. That, coupled with the fact with fact that the charges were dropped, make me unwilling to deem the man as such.
It's crazy to see so many people insisting that the guy shouldn't be mourned and/or suggesting this was somehow justice or deserved, considering how many people were involved in the crash--though, I can't say I actually find it surprising.

The statement from the doctor who examined her said that the tearing found would be consistent with a rape and her blood was found on Kobe's t-shirt. The charges were dropped because she wouldnt testify not because the case was weak.

There was his daughter and six other people in that buzzer. Whatever crimes he has committed or not bears no weight upon the death of innocents.
