The Statistical Improbability (Just My Luck)

RE: The Statistical Improbability (Just My Luck)
Would you love her less if she stepped out on you for the one thing that you couldn't provide?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I'd be a fool to accept such things.

Would you, that's what I'm asking. It's big medicine. If she couldn't help but want a child, and you couldn't give her that, what changes?

I'm only asking because the odds are so very slim, as you know, and I really want to know you.

Shot in the dark...that's not your kid. But it could be. I'm standing here as a man who's lost children physically and legally, asking you who you are. You'll have to answer that question in a few months, if not to me, to yourself.

I'm quite certain that the kid is mine
She hasn't left my side for months

I've heard of vasectomy failures in the past, they are rare, but they happen.
That's why I'm getting tested, because I know it will be the only way to fend off the people who say "she probably walked off on you".

If you don't you're as big a schmuck as Joseph believing that "immaculate conception" story Mary cooked up.

Oh no worries, I already have the doctors script.  Will be dropping off a sample in the next week or two.

Good man.

If it turns out you do have happy wigglers then congrats are indeed in order.

I would also be clear with your other you are taking this step because skepticism is healthy.. It would be horrible to allways have a nagging doubt about paternity when it is so easy to check. Would she really want to be married to a scymuck who believed every unlikely story he is told?

I wouldn't.

If I did I would probably go get religion.

That's where most believers end up.

By the tone, the kid is yours. Do you hear what I'm saying? Do you see what this other asshole is saying?

Welcome to fatherhood.

Being in a relationship with somebody who fucks around on the side is like somebody playing Russian Roulette with your head -without your knowledge.

I'm not that desperate for company.

Man, shut the fuck up. You're a piece of shit...is it so important to you that you convince others to be like you?

I'd have mixed emotions about this.

I don't need to be the biologic to be a loving father/provider. I've done it both ways. When it comes to the kid(s), same, same.

But I'd definitely have trust issues with the SO if this was planned and they didn't let me know upfront or tried to put one over on me. I'd probably get over it eventually but doubt things would ever be exactly the same (I can forgive, not so much forget). And I'm not a big fan of unconditional love when it comes to SO's. Plus, if not a biologic, a third party may enter the mix.

Anyway, that's my two cents. Best of luck!
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Trust and honesty is optional. It's not as if no man has ever deceived some woman so that she might marry him. Ill say it again, and even more clearly, I'm certain that this poor guys wife stepped out on him.

It takes a man who isn't suited to be a father to worry about shit like that. He's sent sent samples? Good god I hope it stops at that.

There is only one question. Do you love the girl, and can you love a child.
