If you're happy then you're happy. You're probably happier than I am because you're at peace with your life and comfortable with the idea that whatever you do on earth, you won't be punished for when you die.
Yeah, I realized a long time ago that your god would be cool with me killing hundreds of people because I was comfortable with that.

If you can't prove that there's no afterlife, then how can you say definitively that there is no God. Can't you be open to options?

Have an open mind. But don't let your brain fall out.

There are many, many things I cannot *prove* are not the case: elves in my garden, pixies that remove socks from laundry, angels that move the moon around the Earth, etc.

don't push it on me, just prove it. and goblins and pixies very well may exist, but not on this planet, not in this dimension.

Hehe

If goblins and pixies exist on other planets and in other dimensions, then they aren’t goblin and pixies. Goblins are Anglo-Norman and pixies are British.

Pretty sure orbital mechanics sufficiently explains the Moon going around the Earth.

People can believe in an afterlife and not believe in a god.  The majority of people who believe in the afterlife do not believe in your god.  There are people who believe in god who do not believe in an afterlife. There is no necessary connection between the two such that one would be indication or demonstration for the other.

If you can't prove that there's no City of Gold, then how can you definitively say that werewolves don't exist?  Can't you open to options?

ok then, substitute good for godly. because no godly thing can enter hell.
So that whole jebus entering hell tale is BS? Or jebus is not godly?

Not there aren't. Anyone can compare anything to any other thing.

I have no idea who jebus is.
I'm not talking about people's ABILITY to compare things.

No one else took you up on it, so I will. Here's what you're asking us, if we, as you suggest, substitute godly for good.

Quote:Do atheists believe in a heaven or hell? A -godly- place or -not godly- place?

If not, then what's the purpose of the distinction between -godly- and -not godly-?.

I'd like to have a respectful conversation about this.
Respectfully, there is no distinction between what is godly and what isn't godly to a person who doesn't believe in gods. A person who, by default, doesn't believe in godly places. You might notice that the substitution fails to strike at your question at all, and that might be because substituting godly for good or vv is nonsensical.
