Where do we go when we die and are you afraid?

Not there aren't. Anyone can compare anything to any other thing.
I have no idea who jebus is.
I'm not talking about people's ABILITY to compare things.

You know damn well who I refer to. You are merely trying to crib some cred for the beardy bible bloke and do not pretend otherwise. I have had enough of that crap over the years.

Furthermore, you certainly are not arguing about people's ability to make comparisons of anything. You are claiming that comparisons are in and of themselves invalid by dint of being comparisons and nothing more.

On top of that, you are unwilling to state what you actually believe, leaving everyone else in the position of guessing. That is flat out dishonest.

You could correct that, and state what it is that you believe. Are you brave enough? Doubt it.

There are many, many things I cannot *prove* are not the case: elves in my garden, pixies that remove socks from laundry, angels that move the moon around the Earth, etc.

Pretty sure orbital mechanics sufficiently explains the Moon going around the Earth.

Yes, but how do you know that gravity isn't the result of angels pushing things? Just because you have a mathematical explanation, that doesn't mean angels aren't involved.

Well, that opens up the possibility that even mathematics itself, seeing as it's a language used in describing orbital mechanics, somehow is able to account for angels ...

How would I even know the difference between lack of angels and angels in a mathematical explanation?

Exactly. You see the angels push things in just the way that the equations of gravity predict they will go. So every observation we make that verifies those motions also verifies the existence of those angels, right?

If you can add any random, non-testable, concept to any theory, then those angels and pixies are just as supported as any God.

Which is my point.......

It's like asking "What year will I be transported to, back in time, when I jump off this cliff ?"
I'm just really fascinated by the idea that when people jump off cliffs, they travel back in time to live some other amazing life.

It's like the person who believes this doesn't have a full understanding that when you jump off a cliff, you aren't magically transported back in time. You fall to your death. Gravity takes you down. There is no magical time portal that is activated the moment you jump off a cliff.

And when you die, there is no magical portal that takes your consciousness somewhere.
When you die, you die. You are dead. That's it.

Prove it

Burden of proof is on you, girly. You're the one making the claim. A claim, I may add, completely unsupported by any evidence.

ok then, substitute good for godly. because no godly thing can enter hell.
A rather pointless distinction if you don't already accept the concept of god to begin with

And the rest of science nicely explains things about the universe without invoking any deities.

don't push it on me, just prove it. and goblins and pixies very well may exist, but not on this planet, not in this dimension.
If you are require to invent magic realm to house concepts or beings that have no attachment to empirical reality . Then the thing question is indistinguishable from the nonexistent. So what would one be proving ?

She's trying to side step your points, she's worried about having the burden of showing facts, that she can't show.
