GSA finally give in.
|
Trump is just delaying the inevitable. He is probably well aware he'll get no traction but is trying to create such a stink so they will have to give him some kind of deal. Ed Norton goes into it in this article:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertain...362057002/ We need to go all in and call.
It seems that the GSA made the decision, and then an hour later Trump made a tweet that made it sound like it was his graciousness that made it happen.
I think this is a case of rewriting the narrative. In the face of the "loss" of the GSA allowing the transition, Trump has decided to go with a new strategy. He can now say he simply exercised his legal rights in the face of a "stolen election", and the "libs" made up their own lies about how HE was the one trying to a coup. THEY tried the coup with the fake Russia investigation! He will continue raising funds, golfing, and sending out tweet storms.
I wonder if Trump is avoiding going to Georgia to help the GOP senate races because, either he was told it would hurt them by motivating the left, or is it simply because he is a selfish prick and holding is breath like a baby because he lost?
My guess is the cowards gave Trump the concession for which he asked, to not be pursued in matters that would land him in prison.

Too bad Bobby Kennedy isn't Attorney General now.

It was always going to end that way. His lie exposes their lie, and the damage to the institution is seen to be unbearable relative to the benefit of prosecuting a single man in a torrent of illegality and grift.

I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

If you read the letter from the GSA it appears that there would have been legal repercussions if they failed to move the process along. There is verbiage within the letter to indicate that the GSA does not choose the president and who the president is going to be is still not a sure thing. It was well worded be the GSA to remove any blame from them. I've seen articles that say that Biden should pardon Trump. That would be a supremely bad move. Sure, he shouldn't ask the DOJ to "lock him up", but he shouldn't stop prosecutors from pursing things if evidence is presented. |
