Hmmm, after watching this video, I'm not so sure about this Ashli Babbit woman. She appears to be on crack. She makes valid points about problems in the US but, like Trump, no coherent solutions except nonsense about choosing America.

The event has been called StormTheCapitol with right-wing groups. Does anyone thing that dozens of people (at least) hadn't been planning for an actual storming of the Capitol?
Trump eats right-wing media for breakfast. He knew what this was about. He told everyone that it would be "wild". How can anyone interpret that this wasn't a call for "direct action"? Someone's head still needs to roll for the security. The best argument for the 25th amendment is not that Trump was hoping for insurrection. That's just criminal and impeachable. It was the fact that he thought this would actually help his cause. That's crazy! There's just so much gold in that one. I especially love where he discussed the pride and boldness he gives them to take back their country.

And she's part of a mob that's actively trying to invade the Capitol with the goal of overriding the election of a President who not only won the popular and electoral vote, but got more votes than any other candidate in the nation's history. Furthermore, many in the mob have been open about wanting to commit violence against anyone who stands in their way. And those images of nooses in the latter article aren't fake news; that gallows was actually built on site, with another noose made out of camera cables they took from Associated Press equipment they smashed and hung from a tree. If she was just a Congressional intern or summat (maybe a tourist, but I'm not sure that this is even an option during the pandemic), then the concern over killing an unarmed woman would be totally justified. At this point, however, it's tragic, but inevitable.

The police had every right, and quite possibly the responsibility, to shoot her dead. Along with all the other putschists. The US authorities should learn the lesson of the Beer Hall Putsch and learn it well.
