Nancy Pelosi asks what republicans were thinking putting Marjorie Taylor Greene on an ed committee. Assuming that sandy hook false flag trutherism and qanon lunacy might be failure conditions for such an important post.
In mere reality, that's what rules them in. Separatists saddle public education with incompetents because they want to get rid of it. See one betsy devos. They would very much prefer that we subsidize their private madrasas...otherwise there isn't much of a chance of their ideology persisting into the next century or even the next ten years -aside from some good old ethnic cleansing here in the homeland, ofc.

True. Education is one battleground in the culture wars. Prevent minorities from getting good education, and they can be kept as an underclass. Advance putting money into religious or private schools, and Christian Dominionism can prosper.

Spoiler alert, she's not too happy with the will of the people, and doesn't believe that it has a place in presidential elections. It also allows any state elector to contest an election with no requirement of procedure or evidence while simultaneously preventing judges from dismissing such cases for any reason. IDK, if you plan to run your state like a separatist fiefdom, have the courage of your convictions? If you've got hate in your heart, let it out.

Yes, the legislature has the absolute right to override the election, with no appeal. And, if someone contests the election, they can ask for a jury trial, the results of which cannot be overturned for any reason (except by the legislature). So, if you lose an election, you have two ways of overturning it, regardless of the recorded will of the people or of evidence. So much for democracy. The other problem with the bill is that it outlines tiny procedures as law. That means that if any tiny procedure isn't followed by even one person, there is grounds for that jury trial. Which I guess is more than the quarter-hearted disavowal Trump gave his white nationalist supporters. Or maybe heart and Trump don’t belong in the same sentence.

Isn't that great? People who were voted into office on the supposition that they were completely fucking terrible are walking that back....but, you know...not in a way that makes them totally un-terrible.
If they weren't terrible, the trumpits wouldn't vote for them. A dilemma presents itself.
