My pets have often been my buddies.
Hell, one of my boys would be sleeping facing me, head on the pillow when I woke up. I was devastated when I lost him a couple of years ago.
My pets are like family to me.
But my best friends are humans, Jess (who is to blame for certain pictures), and Cassie.
Both live in Sydney.
Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:
"You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"

My uncle had a pet rock, it dreamed of stardom. It moved to Sweden, joined a pop group.

My pet stories. The story.
Is that we adopted abandoned kittens who were pregnant in ye covid times. Now I have ten cats, and not a one ally in eating kittens.
They eat 50lbs of food.... a week..I grow all of our food, weekly.

Regardless of how much you love your pet - it does not love you.
It just knows a handy food dispenser when it sees one.
Quit feeding it - and it will start sizing you up as a meal.

My cats like being near me. Don't need contact, food, attention, just proximity. That'll do for me.

The smartest dog I ever knew was a border collie called Trixie. One Christmas, she had the other six dogs set up a racket outside. As soon as we all trooped out to see what the trouble was, Trixie streaked in, snatched the goose off the table and rocketed off across the pasture with the others six dogs in tow.
Da’s only comment was, ‘Makes you proud to be a farmer.’
