Why does god put the needs of the few above the need of the many?

It is just that it has been my experience that the moment a Christians morality or the morality of his dogma and theology comes under question, they vanish/run for the hills.

They run because they cannot intelligently justify the morals they have swallowed.

Without Constantine, inquisitions, mass murder and corruption, Christianity would have died out long ago.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Because reasons.

Namely, the almighty creator is a blood thirsty, vindictive asshat. Stands to reason, since it is nothing more than an amalgamation of mankind's fear, ignorance, and most of all arrogance. Small minded humans produce petty, insecure deities.

We create our gods in our image.

They were ok back when, but a modern non-genocidal non homophobic and non misogynous version is required for these better timers.

Is gnostic christian jesus okay back when, but..perhaps, not now with non genocidal non homophobic and non misogynous ideologies in mind?

Was gnostic jesus not, in short, also a product of the image of those believers in past?

Esoteric ecumenism and the more Eastern shamanic traditions were alive and well before the literal reading and belief in a knowable god reared it's ugly head, --- thanks to Christianity.

That tradition was strong in Jewish circles as well as in Greece thanks to Socrates. Cabbalism and Gnostic Christianity with all their graphic were too hard to follow for many.

I hate to talk of aeons and the myth part of Gnostic Christianity as they are not relevant to today.

The main message of all these traditions is to seek wisdom and god through meditation.

Many are called, few hear it.

That's nice, but I didn't ask you to demonstrate their existence, rather, to explain their difference in the relevant context.

What, in your estimation, shields your christianity from any ethical objection you might levy against some other christianity? You say OTgod is bad. Fine. Is jesus not bad for those same reasons?

One Jesus is supernatural, the other not. Supernatural evil, the other not so much.

I know of no shield. Gnostic Christian only have two sided swords and more common sense and morals than most.

That is why we are called the only good Christians.

As to Jesus, I just had this in the wings.

Armageddon. Does it make Jesus rather evil? (atheistforums.org)

That seems like a poor definition of evil. Perhaps what you mean to be saying in all these moral threads is no moral thing at all?

You're just trying to inform people that christians believe in a supernatural god......?

I am afraid for those, flesh and blood, who speak disparaging words against the Almighty.

Really, why?

It’s one thing not to believe, but to add thereto? Ill-advised!

“But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” - Matthew 12:36-37

“You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!” - James 2:19
