Most people hear only what they want to hear. Just because some people take advantage of this fact to become rich and powerful, is of no consequence.

You're a morally bankrupt person, if you think that. Just because some people can be victimized doesn't mean they should be.

But they're not being "victimized", if anything, they're victimizing themselves.

That's abundantly clear in your case.

If there is a thing such as ethics/morals and they are at all important, then yours are completely broken.  Thanks for confirming once again that theists morals are self-serving while atheists are actually looking out for everyone.
Why is it so?

It helps us become great. When we don't have some far-reaching ideal to work towards, we become lazy, complacent, and mediocre in our efforts.

Yeah that's ridiculous, and that's not how life works. Nothing is ever that black and white.

Oh wow, I forgot to mention Joel Osteen, definitely a huge influence. He's an amazing speaker, his jokes are on point, and his message is wonderfully positive.

I believe these three people are visionaries, capable of seeing far beyond the present situation, whose intellects are focused on achieving some grand ideal, for the greater good of humanity. Very much "what could be" people.

Rupert Murdoch because, he is an incredibly wealthy person with heavy influence on what kind of media people consume. In other words, exactly the kind of person I want to be.

Aldous Huxley because, I see him as a kind of mad genius, with some brilliant imaginations for how he wanted society to function.

George H. W. Bush because, I like that speech he gave, about man's way of doing things, and nature's way of doing things, and how the "law of man" would come to rule human affairs.

Well no 1 is a heartless hate-filled little man who has never done anything in his life that wasn't calculated to his own benefit and that alone. And no 3 was a career criminal and mass murderer. You're not too far off about Huxley though.

Aldous Huxley was a very spiritual man. He understood the spiritual undercurrents of society, and he knew which direction society was headed.
