That Gay Thread
RE: That Gay Thread
And the professor got fired from his job with no protest I could find, and Milo pissed away any credibility he had (both from the few LGBT people who would put up with an alt-righter in their midst, and the far-right-wingers who actually liked him). I look at incidents like those and I see brief examples of individuals (and always ones who are either obscure or hated by the community at large) trying to push the idea, and being criticised to Hell and back (especially by gay people) with almost nobody (except MAPs) defending them. Any MAP tries dipping a toe in the LGBT sea, that toe gets amputated almost instantly.

Having gay parents is tough on kids. They're either subjected to twice the usual number of dad jokes, or they get caught in an infinite loop of 'go ask your mother'. *rimshot*

I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Huggy continues his trolling and attempts to demonize LGBT by linking them with pedophiles because one guy wrote an article there is a fringe group that exists that wants to put pedophilia in that group despite there being a clear distinction between pedophilia and the LGBT community as pointed out in his own screencaps. Then in desperation, he turns to  Milo a person who is widely hated the LGBT community for his frequent gay-bashing and is now an ex-gay religious fundamentalist.

Seriously the desperation is sad  Dodgy

That link between pedophiles and gay people seems to be a widely held belief. If not a belief, it's been latched onto as an argument against gays and a defense of gay bashing.

My daughter's mother-in-law learned in church that all gay people are pedophiles. I (as calmly as I could) explained to her that is wrong.

I guess what I am saying is Huggy isn't the only one. But with Huggy, we know that his bigotry covers a lot of area backed by a lot of bullshit.

And the big example of people who actually believe gay people are predatory paedophiles, Boys Beware. A film that’s had its 60th anniversary made this year, it’s aged like wine, and by that, I mean it’s turned to vinegar. Apparently, even about a decade after it was made, it was aging poorly, and not just because it was in black and white and had a budget so low they couldn’t even afford for the cop and the nonce to have a different car.

Also, I looked at the comments and found this, and given that I’ve spoken about my own past and similar feelings (in my case, related to Columbine and an environment that seemed to want me to follow in Eric and Dylan’s footsteps), I figure I may as well share it:

“Doodle Blockwell” Wrote:I saw this at school in 1970 when I ten years old. How could I ever forget it? It totally terrified me. Not because it made me fear for my safety, but I was having my first gay crush on a boy in class. I feared that I had no choice but to become "That Strange Man." It was a horrible feeling. 50 years later I am a happily married gay man who has been with my husband for decades and happy to know that kids in public schools today will never have to suffer through films like this.
