He blamed racism, not white people. Unless, of course, you believe upholding of white supremacy (in the form of killing people who are protesting the killing of a black person by police)  is part and parcel of white people existing. And, given that this is a Christmas parade and not a protest against racism, it's not reasonable at this point to default to racism.

Also worth noting, I actually have a first cousin once removed who was in the crowd of people. She's apparently fine. I say apparently fine, because, while it doesn't look like the car hit her, I can't rule out PTSD from shit like this.

Yeah, no clue how race is supposed to factor into this tragedy. It's a very odd statement idea.

So, here in Aussie land, we have to register our vehicles. We have to register our guns.

Okay.

We also have to renew our registration of said vehicles every year which also entails getting a receipt from a mechanic that the vehicle is still sound/maintained/serviced etc. But we don't have to do that for the guns......

Isn't that interesting?

Think of how many more jobs would/could be created if registered owners had to have their weapons 're-certified' every year by a recognized, professional Armorer that said item was still in a quiality condition? Who could fix and tweak any dings of scratches the item might have rescieved over the past year of use.

Any who... just a weird rambling though.

Just heard that the driver was accused of running over the mother of his child previously (same vehicle) and may have been fleeing from a different reported domestic violence attack. No police were chasing the vehicle.
