Disney movies.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I also admit that Sandler is on my blacklist of movies that I will not watch. And I did watch PDL back in the day and even that was a disappointment. And I am not much of a PT Anderson fan either. And I would not watch Sandler movie today even if critics proclaimed it to be better than Citizen Ksne.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
I *did* enjoy happy Gilmore. Mostly for Julie Bowen (hubba, hubba!) and Bob Barker ("Bitch!"). Julie Bowen was exceptionally cute, in that film.
And yes...I *was* very stoned.
Disappointing theists since 1968!
People are too critical. Your mind isn't supposed to be doing some kind of emotional calculus while watching movies.

It's how my brain works. I'm what I like to describe as a "recovering engineer". Had I been born more recently, I would likely have been diagnosed as on the Autism Spectrum. In my school days, I was just socially awkward, physically uncoordinated, lanky and bookish. Given all that, I'm quite happy the way things are turning out.

A lot of people don't realize that in addition to the two atomic bombs, firebombing of many cities killed many many people. The movie has been described, by Robert Ebert and Time Out London, as one of the greatest war movies of all time. I know someone who lived through (barely) the firebombing of Osaka, and she says the movie is the only accurate depiction of war she has ever seen. Not a hint of epicanthic fold.
