The exact numbers do not matter. The BALLPARK(s) do matter!

The original claim by the "russian shill" was that Ukriane lost at least 80% of its active military personnell within 12months. Any army that would sustain such losses would be near collapse or already have collapsed, especially considering the rather small training capabilities, lack of reported burials, lack of crying mothers, decaying morale, and all the other stuff that would go along with LOSING YOUR ENTIRE FUCKING ARMY WITHIN 12 MONTHS.

The point is:
The original claim that Ukriane lost as many men during the past 12 months, as the US lost during the entire WWII, equating to 80%-100% of the ukrainian armed forces present at the start of the war, this claim is so blatantly absurd that it does not deserve the bandwidth it (rather by accident) has been assigned here.

RE: Russia and Ukraine
The general consensus has been that there are over 100k casualties on either side. The main disparity is likely in the rates of wia and kia, with russia having well documented trouble both in collecting and treating their wounded. On some level, it's a motivation issue. Ukraine will go to extreme lengths, all the way to acknowledged suicide missions, to retrieve their heroes. Russia, otoh, seems uninterested in doing the same for it's proxies, convicts, and suckers.

Ukraine, for it's part, is probably just doing envelope math for kias. They assume russian wounded to russian dead is something like one for one (western intel has it set even worse, actually). They assume a busted or abandoned tank was fully manned by a crew of three (soon to be four). With russia having lost a confirmed 2k tanks, that's between three and six thousand soldiers all by itself. Additionally, russia provides the inspiration for much of their reports. Russia says that unit A has x, y, and z. This may only exist on paper - but if ukraine smashes that unit in a strike, defense, or assault - they're counting whatever russia said they had as casualties.

This is really good news (more than most people realize :Smile

And  again some numbers:

Greece has 1250 Battle Tanks.

Turkey Has 3000.

Germany in WWII had 3200 battle tanks.

Russia has lost about 2000 battle tanks / 1200 of these were directly destroyed by Ukrainian armed forces.

The thing you have to remember about China is that they want Russia as a vassal not a partner, and the best way to do that is string Putain on long enough to keep weakening Russia in Ukraine enough that he has to come cap in hand to Xi, who will then dictate terms.

India's interests are all about protecting their borders from China. Up until recently Modi believed the bullshit that Russia was peddling about its wunderwaffen. Given how piss poor Russian materiel has been in Ukraine and how missing Russia's latest weapons have been, even Modi must realise he's been had. And if Russia is a waste of space for India, who does that leave?

India has been pivoting to American weapons for a while, with more to follow after this shitshow. They're deeply concerned about supply-chain issues hurting their ability to maintain their Russian military platforms -- both ground and air -- especially given the tightening Russian economy and its increasing reliance on Chinese components.

RE: Russia and Ukraine
Russia’s Economy Is Starting to Come Undone

The opening months of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last year drove an increase in oil and natural-gas prices that brought a windfall for Moscow. Those days are over.

As the war continues into its second year and Western sanctions bite harder, Russia’s government revenue is being squeezed and its economy has shifted to a lower-growth trajectory, likely for the long term.

The country’s biggest exports, gas and oil, have lost major customers. Government finances are strained. The ruble is down over 20% since November against the dollar. The labor force has shrunk as young people are sent to the front or flee the country over fears of being drafted. Uncertainty has curbed business investment.

There is no sign the economic difficulties are bad enough to pose a short-term threat to Russia’s ability to wage war. But state revenue shortfalls suggest an intensifying dilemma over how to reconcile ballooning military expenditures with the subsidies and social spending that have helped President Vladimir Putin shield civilians from hardship.

Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska warned this month that Russia is running out of cash. “There will be no money next year, we need foreign investors,” the raw-materials magnate said at an economic conference.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Understood. But the thing was India was willing to put up with a certain amount of that up until the invasion, for example India has heavily invested in the Armata despite no operational models being built. But the war in Ukraine has shown how much of a bad idea it is to depend on Russian weapons systems.

RE: Russia and Ukraine
Ukraine supplied Pakistan with weapons. Now, not so much - and perhaps more crucially, Pakistan has western weapons - f16s and such.... I doubt theres anyone on any side watching ukraine thinking "mmm mmm mmm..gotta get me some of those russian weapons!". Not even the russian soldiers. Not that it would matter if there were still fanbois out there, because russia has been deploying it's export series weapons on the ukranian battlefield for months There just isn't alot of stock available in the used car lot russia calls it's arms market. All of that is a problem for India.

OTOH, they can still make husks - and a smart money conscious buyer might see value in a cheap husk which would have to be refitted by someone competent, with something useful.... on the inside, anyway.

Agreed, I wasn't intending to undercut your point but rather to supplement it. Sorry if I came across otherwise.

That ammo storage still implies plenty of moonshots for them in combat. But the tin-horns want them to repress their publics, not fight on a modern battlefield.

The Ukrainian losses are said to be around 125,000 and Russian losses are said to be around 175,000.

And we must not fool ourselves this is still a David vs. Goliath situation:

[Image: _123760860_ukraine_russia_military_inf640-v2-2x-nc.png]

As far as I know: the US + Europe do not have enough shells to supply to the Ukrainian artillery and they are looking for ways to ramp us the production of shells.

+ There is a problem of manpower on both sides. Russians have a bigger army. But 700 thousand Russians have fled Russia to avoid being drafted.

+ In the Long run Russia is totally devastated. It is moving toward becoming a second North-Korea, a mere puppet of China and if this article is true they may be giving some of their territory to China in the far-east.

My point of view: The world didn’t need that. I think there could have been some international policies to be put in place after 1991 precisely to avoid such a huge S-up. I am personally nostalgic of the Russian economic and political presence that existed in the 90’s and early 2000’s. I don’t think it’s a good thing that China is making so many advances in so many areas within a relatively short period of time. There is some lack of balance in the whole world if you know what I mean Smile
