Sexual Abuse in Social Context: Clergy and other (Secular) Professionals.

RE: Sexual Abuse in Social Context: Clergy and other (Secular) Professionals.
Well, maybe it could have stayed closed since Nishant is mostly making rape apologies for pedophile priests.

Nothing but Religious Teachers, i.e. Teachers of Religion. So the analogy is exact. And the stats show that in the same way that Secular Teachers are Teachers of Math, Science etc. and obviously, there is nothing in Math, Science etc that causes them to abuse, neither is there likewise in Christianity or Religion. Let's look at the stats:

The big difference is that teachers in secular schools get persecuted while priests remain unpunished and protected by the Catholic Church. They are left to investigate internally in the Church which amounts to nothing (they are above the law), and the only reason some of them get persecuted is because of loud voices like us.

The church is even lobbying for laws to protect pedophile priests wasting millions of dollars to which you participate.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Yeah, but it's unleavened and is in little discs.

I opened this thread to post the sentiment quoted. It bears repeating.

This one doesn't give a shit about any standards, or any morality. Nor does the church. Consider this. He's just copy pasting this garbage. It wasn't even his own idea to pretend that "Secular Teachers" are atheist priests, ignoring the fact that the majority of them are..wait for it.....christians. Catholicism, to Nish, is just an excuse for culture war bullshit.

You may want to better consider your audience. The eruptions of mental vomitus you keep spewing may be compelling to you, and others who have already bought into the magic thinking, but to anyone with the smallest bit of reasoned thinking can smell the stench of you're "arguments" at 100 yards.

Or, you can continue to spew your mental sewage without regard, but please don't be surprised by your lack of success in convincing anyone (other than your fellow sheep) that you actually make a good case.

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

It's boilerplate rhetoric. That he'd defend the church's policies in such a bog-standard manner suggest an agenda to me.

And, edited the above post: silly autocorrect. The second was repeat, not repent. One must intend never to repeat the crime. One must repent of it with one's whole heart. That's Contrition.

“You either have a God who sends child rapists to rape children or you have a God who simply watches it and says, ‘When you’re done, I’m going to punish you.’If I could stop a person from raping a child, I would. That’s the difference between me and your God.”

― Tracie Harris

Would YOU stop a rape Xavier or not because of the violation of the rapists free will?

What do you think of the quote by Tracie?

It really sucks having to apologize for your god.

I’m wondering if this quote made you realize that YOU are more moral than the god you worship?

Or is your belief whatever happens is gods will including every infant that has been raped?

You want to discuss and share ideas, right Xavier?
