2024 US Presidential Election
#21
RE: 2024 US Presidential Election
The trouble is when there are only candidates you want to vote against, lol.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The GOP is not an option for me. Stupid culture war crap, sweetheart deals for corporations, authoritarianism, fictionalized narratives, alternate reality nonsense.

Even the Libertarians have gone paleo psuedo fascist with their individualist "I tread on you" message. Losers.

That leaves only Biden. Ugh. An octogenarian career insider with no charisma and a plan for a status quocracy.

Sad.
If the alternative is facism i'll take the status quo

I see Biden's administration as a caretaker government.

I wish I had your confidence. My biggest fear is Joe Manchin running as an independent. That could tip the outcome in Trump's favor.

Gonna be pretty hard to run the whole country from Fulton County lockup.

After Manchin's continued cosplay-Democrat act, he might pull some independents, but because most independents by now dislike Trump, it won't be a harm, I think. You'll definitely see Mobil/Exxon attack ads, too. Trump and Biden will both work to push him aside. Hard to win with only independents, and they don't like him either.

I think everyone knows he's a tool. What's his money look like, do you know?

Even if Joe Manchin did go independent and Virginia went independent or even red there are several routes Joe Biden has to victory.

That'd take a constitutional amendment overriding Amendment XXVI.  Easier said than done.
