We don't know. That's why it's a fear... the fear of the unknown. Thats not my point. I dint intend to discuss the ABILITY of Russia to launch nukes. I STATED A FACT. The FACT that Moscow has threatened nuclear war, directly or indirectly, more often than i change my underwear, and contrary to public belief, i am a very cleanly person.

If someone repeatedly threatens to punch you in the face but never does, it eventually ceases to be much of a threat.
To carry the analogy a bit further, if this person ever does punch you in the face, he’ll immediately have to deal with your 31 heavily armed friends.

Ukraine could probably tell us a little bit about fears of escalation. The way that the hollowed out shell of the russian military has been conducting their campaign of blundering terrorism makes the idea of escalation moot point to them. AOW. I don't think they'd stop fighting out of concern for our fears anyway. I think it's absurd that we fantasize about and (for some..to one extent or another) idealize a world where we tell ukraine that the price of our comfort is their life.

We don't know what kind of population problem North Korea has, but with multiple famines, I'm guessing it's an under rather than over population one.

No one can guarantee that. We are assuming no one will me mad enough to start a war of mass annihilation but this is still only an assumption. Which is why previous generations in the 80’s have pushed for nuclear disarmament and their call was in the end heard by Ronald Reagan + Michail Gorbatchev. Too bad they didn’t reduce those numbers to a much, much smaller level. China wouldn’t have the right type of arguments to ramp up its nuclear arsenal if the US arsenal was (say) 1/100th of what it is today 
But this is not what emboldens Russia + China. The reason of their over-confidence is the far-right. Far right parties were very successful in the European Elections. France is facing the risk of having its first fascist government since the Vichy government in WWII (The Rassemblement National wants to ban bi-nationals from entering politics while they have Russian Nationals in their ranks and is regularly receiving cash from the Kremlin + The Leader of the center-right Republican party Eric Sioty / That’s the Party founded by Nicholas Sarchozy who managed to escape a prison sentence despite the fact that he received cash from Kaddafi during his presidential campaign back in 2007 /has just joined them).
So I’m worried mostly for the world in general when I see that the 81 year old Democratic candidate is having serious health issues. But he remains defiant right?
