“I’m getting frustrated by the elites in the party, ‘Oh, they know so much more,’” Biden said on the MSNBC morning show. “Any of these guys that don’t think I should run, run against me. Announce for president, challenge me at the convention.”
Biden told co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski he was running regardless of what pundits and editorial boards were saying, arguing it was average voters whom he cares about.
Biden laughed off a question about whether he’d been tested for age-related illnesses and blasted former President Trump for remaining out of the public eye over the past week.

“If you just look at the data and talk to people around the country, political people around the country, it’s more likely that he’ll lose by a landslide than win narrowly this race,” Axelrod said. “And if the stakes are as large as he says, and I believe they are, then he really needs to consider what the right thing to do here is.”

Biden's stubbornness is going to put Trump into office. Whether or not the accusations of dotage are accurate, Biden's image of competence has been damaged. Trump's campaign will almost surely remind voters of this in October, with ads featuring the more egregious moments of the debate.
Biden still has the best chance of beating Trump. Even the post-debate polling shows the race in a dead heat. Given the incumbency advantage, it’s extremely unlikely that any of the names being floated as a replacement candidate would win.
I agree that Biden’s chances look shaky right now, but it’s four months until the election. If his campaign would take the gloves off, his odds would improve dramatically.

I'm not so sure of that. I can bet that the Trump campaign will be running debate lowlights around the clock in November precisely to remind the independents he so desperately needs.

If Biden is Parkie and(or) did he/the white house intentionally hide it? If true I think he's done either way.
Sending questions/talking points to radio host interviewers did not look good, it looked like protecting.

The people are complaining about the effects of Biden's age, yet they keep idiotically putting old people in the presidential lineup.

There is the issue of HIPAA.
And it's not as though we have been apprised of much with Trump beyond bone spurs. That's probably the only thing he doesn't/didn't ever have.

Biden told CNN in a previous interview for the last election that if he had any health status changes that would cause the US concerns that he would be transparent with the public. I think that negates HIPPA.

Perhaps it does but he may be going through testing without there being a diagnosis in place yet. He doesn't have to talk about what might be. If he gets a definitive diagnosis and he said he would be transparent about it, then I suppose he should do what he said he would.
The chaos in this upcoming election is beyond the pale...from all sides.

The obvious solution is for all rational voters to write in Pete Buttigieg's name. Just saying.

I agree, but he (his people) needs to talk about what is going on. Not addressing reports and concerns (all is WELL) has a negative impact, maybe more than being honest and open. If he's in the evaluation phase just say it.
I'm a never Trumper but I'm concerned about the fence sitters. If Trump gets in office I doubt I'll be significantly impacted with regard to my daily life, but the country will be radically changed and repair will be lengthy. That's if repair is even possible.
Edit: Referencing the president, as an 81yo man, being evaluated by a doctor annually is bullshit.
