Well my mom believes in it. But i dont see why it matters if one cant be certain that one is correct? So if i were to put my bets. Christianity seems like the argument that makes mostly sense to me, interms of religious authority

I see Science and Religion as two different things. Religion is basically faith in a invisible authority. Whereas science is to understand the natural world. How to build a car, how to build houses and such.

Because its easier. Humans are flawed and will bicker way more. Being united under something that lasts for eternity is way more comforting and wholesome. With ideologies like feminism, right winger or people being mean, its more depressing.
Besides i do kinda wanna solve the Christianity vs Islam problem once and for all aswell.

"Invisible authority" is like jumbo shrimp or a sanitary landfill. Makes sense as a term of art but not so much on it's own. People may hold beliefs about hidden string pullers but the string pullers are not the authorities...they're explicitly contended to be the thing behind them...hiding... and holding such beliefs doesn't qualify as a religion in the first place. If you want to talk about religion you'll have to tell me about beliefs and practices you plan to put into action, about things set apart and forbidden, about a moral community that seeks to make the world the way it ought to be by the lights of the same.
I guess we could talk about peoples superstitions, mega pixies and other invisible fauna....but if that's all your religion amounts to, then it's going to be a short conversation.
