What about people who say, "I don't like being treated this way, would you please remind the team to be respectful of coworkers?" without urging the firing of anyone? Maybe you think speaking up is baaaaaad?

If they are offended, they can ask the person not to make those comments or jokes around them.

If that person then harasses them by intentionally going out of their way to make those remarks to this individual, the harasser should be fired on the spot.

It's really not that hard; if someone at work says something you don't like, ignore it.

Edit - Though to address your specific example, it sounds like "treated this way" means they have already skipped the first step and gone to targeted harassment - which would again hold the same consequence of immediate firing.

It should be noted that asking the speaker to "not to make those comments or jokes around them" is not "ignoring it", which means that you're actually advising two contradictory responses.

Great. So how are you going to fire the harassers and defend that in an unemployment court if the company doesn't itself have rules against that harassment?

There no such thing as the " "woke  community" it's rightwing fiction and the only thing it's done is expose that a lot of people are bigoted assholes and crybabies. But keep pushing your imaginary narrative

So the commonsense of not allowing bigotry in the workplace .Still nothing unreasonable is being imposed on you sorry

Quote:LGBT & abortion oriented events being held and curriculum being taught in tax-funded school
So teaching kids about reality and tolerance and empowerment . Yeah I get how that would bother you. Still nothing unreasonable is being imposed on you sorry

Quote:certain governments like Australia and England's going so far as to arrest people for "offensive" speech towards a few select minorities while permitting and often funding hateful speech towards others.
So protecting minorities and you conjuring up delusions of government funded hate speech

They can make any flag they want that doesn't entitled anybody else to go after them.

Or they can report them to HR and if the offense goes against the rules or HR policies they can be shown the door. Spoiler alert actions have consequence's you clearly choose a stupid joke over your employment.

True

Or report it as is your right as an employee

Nah you shouldn't be saying offensive shit at work full stop and if you do the company has every right to fire you. It's super simple don't be a dick at work.

So employees who are cool letting bigotry into the office and are will to be doorstops. If you tell offensive jokes at work don't be surprised if you get the boot.

Forgive my disagreement, but it seems clear that restrictions against thing like racist jokes and bigoted speech seem like impositions to TWM. Why else would he be arguing so vigorously against them?

You right what should say is nothing unreasonable has been imposed on them. He's treating this like some kind of victimization when it simply isn't.

So it's not about immigrants, it's not about groceries, it's not about bribes, it's not about kids, and it's not about flags.  It's sounding more and more like your jokes cost a company money so they shitcanned your ass.
