Christians: A Question

Christians: A Question
Chip, you are exempt from this poll, as I already know your opinion on it.

I realize this is something of an appeal to popularity. However, I am trying to establish what the common Christian feeling on Jesus' sacrifice was, so bear with me.

RE: Christians: A Question
I think my favorite answer on the sacrifice issue is the atheist's (literal) translation of John 3:16:

John 3:16 - God sacrificed himself to himself, to save us from a place he made himself.

Just perfect.

Can't vote, there is no choice for 'don't give a fuck". "He was a paranoid schizophrenic who had conversations with a really scary imaginary friend" and 'I like pancakes.'Angel Cloud

I was one. Can I vote? Can I? Can I? Oh wait, there's no option that fits.

Well, if you think it needs another option, I will add it and you can vote. However, I am actually trying to see how Christians think about that particular story. I realize that atheists think it is a load of crap. Big Grin

I notice that so far the results show 100% in favour of option one. I don't think we should read too much into that though, since there's only been one vote.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Yeah, it will probably take time, as we have fewer Christians than atheists, but I am determined to get an answer. Even five saying option one would disprove an irrational statement.
