It would not do me any good, I have a mirror that can't be broken and I would not want it to be, that mirror is Christ a mirror of love that keeps one striving to do better.

Aw man you make me want to puke with that kind of talk. Really.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

You see I can write gospel music. Big Grin I call this one "The Mirror That Can't be Broken"

The mirror that can't be broken,
God himself has spoken,

Bend and twist with fear,
Take it in the ear,
Sunday's comin' fast,
You're never gonna last,

The mirror that can't be broken,
God himself has spoken,

The rain comes down like blood,
Filled with pain and crud,
Life is such a pain,
A meat filled short refrain,

The mirror that can't be broken,
God himself has spoken,

View yourself on God,
You silly small dirt clod,
It will end real soon,
pluck your eye out with a spoon.

Thanks GC, you made me puke a little in my mouth and swallow it.

Wow, G-C. I bet you think fucking jesus is smiling at you for coming up with such utter drivel.

He isn't. You are on your own. Deal with it.

Actually, I think I would agree with the concept of Christ and/or god in the form of a mirror, in that it offers nothing more than a reflection of the believer.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

G-C always reminds me of this quote.

Quote:Christ rode on an ass, but now asses ride on Christ.

Wrong, Christ walks with me daily, and He helps me deal with all things good or bad, if you could only know how wonderful and comforting.

However, you must admit that your experience is entirely internal, and people do not see JC walking behind you whispering in your ear.

In effect, what is the difference between the observable, and understood psychiatric delusion, and your own personal experience with God whispering in your ear.

I certainly, not for a second would say that your experience with your God is not beneficial in terms of it being comforting and wonderful for you, thats really sweet. However, this does not equate it to being true.

So the single question is thus; What differentiates your feeling that Christ walks with you and helps you deal with problems, and the illusion of it.

Its an important question, because it is central to any self-authenticating private evidence (see sig). It is indistinguishable from the illusion of it. With illusions, and especially delusions are so well documented in psychiatric journals, that the sufferers remain utterly convinced of their reality. So what makes YOURS more convincing that the man who utterly believes he is the reincarnation of Abraham Lincoln.

The thing is; Delusions are a common, identifiable fact of the human psyche. We all have them to a certain degree.
God is not identifiable, not knowable, and refuses to offer any evidence of existence.

Shall we place bets?
Self-authenticating private evidence is useless, because it is indistinguishable from the illusion of it. ― Kel, Kelosophy Blog

If you’re going to watch tele, you should watch Scooby Doo. That show was so cool because every time there’s a church with a ghoul, or a ghost in a school. They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?
The f**king janitor or the dude who runs the waterslide. Throughout history every mystery. Ever solved has turned out to be. Not Magic.
