Your description of the afterlife and my own, that of blueberry waffles (you seem to have misunderstood me, I don't mean that there will -be- blueberry waffles in the afterlife, but that the afterlife -is- blueberry waffles), are on equal terms. Boy that makes the whole afterlife bit sound so incredibly compelling and serious doesn't it? No offense rythm but im almost certain that I could take you to the actual place and you still would not believe. One thing that we all CAN agree on is that we will at some day all die/transition, and that sucks for you because if you -are- right, we will never know. because we will both be rotten corpses that dont know anything. peace.
Islam has killed millions in the last decade, lets focus all attention on Christianity!

I wouldn't have to believe then, would I deciple? Do you have a map, GPS coords? A picture of the place? Stop asking me to "believe" in what you claim to be statements of knowledge.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Deciple: before someone else does, let me caution you that Pascal's Wager is ridiculously flawed and cuts no ice here.
(EDIT: Just realised you didn't actually invoke the Wager entirely, however you did touch on it.)
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
It sucks that theists will never know they were wrong.

I'll know I was wrong about it's existence, but dead on with regards to how much of an ass it is. It's a wash for both parties.

Or it turns out that reincarnation is real and atheists end up being reincarnated to a lower level for not believing in the supernatural. Fundamentalists were probably dogmatic atheists in a past life.

Quote:Or it turns out that reincarnation is real----- Be a bit hard; currently there are many billions more dead people than there are living people. That's actually a fairly large percentage when you think about it. http://www.prb.org/articles/2002/howmany...earth.aspx |
