Who destined me to this? Sounds like a protection racket to me. Are we talking about gods or mob-based fire insurance?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That's funny because I couldn't Not believe in God if I tried.

We do? Please explain.

The statement is self explaining. What are you confused over?

So it isn't a choice, for either of you. I've gotta ask, why do you keep insisting that it is Drich?

You did. The standard for eternal life is living of life of true righteousness (without sin) You failed to meet that standard.

Because I choose not to be seperated from God for an eternity, and others on this forum do choose to be seperated from God for eternity.

Oh that's good, as long as I'm the one in charge. For some strange reason I was under the impression that some voodoo god had placed a hex on my ancestors......

Wait, wait, did you choose to believe this or not? Very confusing stuff...

I don't. I mean that I was brought up around religion and always found it to be a load of garbage. I didn't mean for it to sound like I was looking at religions to answer some questions of mine. I have no questions to ask, because I really don't care enough. I'm going to assume that this is the only life I get, so I ain't wasting it investigating bullshit... I'll waste it how I want to waste it. Tongue

Simple belief is not the choice you are asked to make, for we are told :Even Demons believe and tremble, and yet they are not saved. You chose whether or not you want to be with God and creation for an eternity.

Against my better judgement but still:

"Hey, you! Yes - you! Do you realise how much you stink? Well it's true! You're covered with nasty, filthy sin bacteria that love nothing better than to hold massive orgies in your naughtiest, sweatiest places - and you're not invited!

But now eternal salvation is at hand - new, improved GODDO with the active ingredient Miraculum Tauromerda, absolutely guaranteed to rid yourself of the stigma of being a disgusting human animal and get your soul white-white-white!

Be the target of envy of all your friends - have girls or boys throwing themselves all over you - get that dream promotion - with new GODDO! Buy it today, wherever indulgences are sold!"

I might actually go into advertising...
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I think it is a requirement for advertizers to know the product they are trying to sell.

I'm sure there are laws against "advertizers" selling something nonexistent too.
