Nope, your Bible is suggesting thats exactly what he was doing during that time period: Intervening or as you would put it "babysitting".
Now, considering that Lot was rather important to God as demonstrated by God getting him out of a town before he massacred it and everyone in it including his wife:
Why did he not see fit to intervene in this instance?
Infact, he knew this would happen if he killed his wife. Hes supposed to be omnipotent.
So yeah, explain.

The fact that it doesn't say anywhere in the bible that there were more than three people on the planet with Cain, Abel(deceased) and Adam and Eve is irrelevant?
