If having someone take the time to examine your posts thoroughly and consider your points is an insult to you, then I'm afraid you're not going to enjoy yourself very much.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Pointing out where your post failed epically is not insulting. You shouldn't take offense to people pointing out flaws in your arguments, because the alternative is everyone agreeing with what you say regardless of how errant your ideas are, which will stunt your growth intellectually.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Everyone has their posts dissected, at least at some points during their career here; it's nothing personal unless you want to make it so. I've had my flaws pointed out and I'm grateful for it, otherwise I might have carried on with all my flawed arguments uncorrected and that way madness lies - or at least misconception.

On the other hand, I have had people who have gone out their way to be personally insulting. Most of them have been dismissed, ignored and the worst offenders banned (though not necessarily as a direct result). One or two have even offended me on a deeply personal level. Either way you need to learn how to recognise the difference between possibly valid criticism and a deliberate insult. Otherwise, as I said, you're not going to enjoy yourself very much. This is not a pulpit from which every utterance is infallible revelation. This is a place for the meeting of minds of varying wattage. Inevitably people are going to have different opinions to your own and you'd better get used to that fact because there are a lot of them.

Read the rules.

It is perfectly acceptable to insult anything anyone says. it is also OK to insult the person,as long the insult is within the context of a reasoned response rather than as replacement for one.

Internet forums all have rules of conduct. The rules here are more permissive than many. All members have the same choices; accept and obey the rules or leave. This is not a democracy. There are no rights, only privileges. We owe you nothing. If you don't like here, El fucking stiffo, you are not obliged to stay.

I just told him to not mock the post and take it seriously, but he did. I said it very seriously yet he still continues to mock it. You call that respect? I don't want to insult anybody but I really hate it when I'm trying to make a point and people just laugh about it. He might not have broken the rules, but he showed outright disrespect for my post.

You ask that as though you aren't going to take offence when people are going to be honest with you.

In my honest opinion, you need to grow up.
