Heh. I know. I just love these things so much. It's kinda funny because my boyfriend is the exact opposite. He tried to do a breast cancer self exam but it took forever because he kept cringing and wincing just from touching what we refer to as "the tumors." He loves playing with mine, though.

Imagine if you had some strange growth coming out of your forehead. Sure, it might have uses here and there but it's going to feel weird and foreign and uncomfortable. That's how we feel. Plus, there's a big part of me that just knows my sex organs are supposed to be inside and having external genitals just feel 'off' for me.

According to a footnote in this translation, the literal translation for the word unnatural in verse 26 is "against nature". At least in the following verse the author is explicitly condemning male homosexual relations.

However I am inclined to believe that the author is condemning certain sexual practices (which included both male and female temple prostitution) which would be a part of worship of gods other than Yahweh. I am inclined to believe this is because earlier in the chapter starting in verse 18, the author goes on about how people exchanged the living god for idols.

As far as I know I am not aware that females had sex with other females in that place and time, which was associated with worship of particular gods. Hey I could be wrong here and will happily change my opinion. All I know of these sort of religious worship, is that men had sex with both female and male scared prostitutes.

I should pull up an interlinear bible and look, but feh. I have been told by an independent scholar of fair reliability, that the Hebrew for "(female) temple prostitute," variously transliterated as Qaddeshim (which I need to look up as well), actually simply meant "holy". So what in later works was interpreted as referring to pagan temple prostitution (whose existence and nature is unclear) may have simply been referring to a pagan priest or priestess, or other pagan functionary.

I was particularly impressed with Greenknight 's advising against surgery. I am presuming he is a medically qualified Psychiatrist with several years experience dealing with transgendered issues.

No, there's nothing to be impressed about. I'm not a professional of any sort. I'm actually much younger than all that but let's not go into specifics because it's the content of what is said that matters and not the age of the chap saying it.

I was only drawing from my experience of a boy I know who was without doubt a trans when he was younger. But recently, he became strong and he's no longer a trans. If he had gone for a surgery, he'd regret it now. I'm not saying it will be the same for TaraJo and Violet but I just thought I should tell them this real-life example.

Ah so from one example you feel you have the experience to advise others.

You are obviously being sarcastic. I can see that. How many experiences should a person have before he tells others? How many trans people does one normally know in the first place? How many trans people do you know? I didn't set myself out as an expert on these things. I told them my one example of the trans boy turned rugby player. I always lay my cards on the table. If people think it's not good advice, they know best.

I wouldn't even start to give out my 'tuppence worth' insuch a case. But then you are christian. telling people how to think must be second nature.
