One final thing: distance to the horizon = sqrt (1.5 x observer's height in feet). *Nerdiness ^10*

That novice 957Chatterton is so lucky to have help and advice like this from experienced clear thinkers like you.

Thats what I love about the *cough* Free-Thought community.

Your reply was meaningless, besides the intent to insult.

Yeah, it works out around that for me too, though I'm an inch or two shy of the regulation six feet. That's only when I'm standing on the ground, of course; mostly I inhabit a fourth floor flat, elevating me by some forty feet. Since I live near the centre of town, this is just about the only way I can see the horizon.

I'm an inch shy, but my view of the horizon is huge. I have Google Earth! Tongue

I am led to believe that it is a type of christian "humour".

It's like normal humour, but without being funny.

Just think of christian "rock" music and you'll know what I mean.

It's called Science laddie, something you're probably not familiar with.

P.s Hi Chatterton from the West coast of Oz.

Badger

Thank you, sir. Ah, the West coast of Oz, where there are no wizards.

Ah, yes. Christian music is to music as military music is to music.

Welcome. Please fill out the personal liability waiver, making sure to include details for next of kin. We also require a forwarding address, so that we know where to send your brains after they've leaked out your ears. To help avoid this unfortunate and gruesome end, please steer clear of 20 page threads with titles including, but not limited to: "Why God is not an asshole, he's just misunderstood", "You're going to hell, here's what you should pack for a fun filled vacation in eternity - Nah, not really, you're going to burn forever", and, "When God commits worldwide infanticide, don't worry, they were demon/human hybrids, silly -_-" Other than that, enjoy your stay. Smile
