Avoiding questions

RE: Avoiding questions
You have to first demonstrate that Pharoh and Moses' story ACTUALLY happened. Sorry.

Plagues continue to be caused by viruses and bacteria. Not God.

Does "disagreeing with Drich" qualify as blasphemy?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Not for me. Sadly.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Here is a prime example. How do you know the crimes/sins are finite? Is it because it only took a moment to commit them? Do you not count consenquence as being apart of sin? Appreantly not. Sin seperates one from God as a consenquence. as your body will be immortal your consenquence must also echo for an eternity.
So Here sins are shown Not to be Finite. If you take a biblical view of them that includes the ever present consenquence of sin.
How can a finite being commit an infinite crime? You are arguing that if a sin (not necessarily a crime) is committed, the fact that it is not forgiven makes it as though the sin is perpetually committed by the person. So, in that case, one small sin is enough for hell.

Unjust by who's standard? The man who want to keep his sin, And benfit from heaven as well? If this is your measure then I will gladly agree. God for that man is 'unjust.' But so what? who is he to complain. This man had the same oppertunity and judgement I had.
See, the problem here is 'sin'. Slavery and genocide are in the OT, and they are not shown to be 'sin'. It is not simply the infinite punishing of a crime that is unjust, but that fact that (as you yourself have said) not all things that are called 'sin' are actually immoral. God doesn't need to let people he doesn't want into heaven, he could leave them in a neutral place, rather than send them to burn for eternity.

No, it qualifies as intelligence.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

Now fuck your casting pearls before swine quote, here's the quote you never seem to comprehend:
Are you suggesting that the words of Peter should superceed Christ himself?

Quote:1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

If you are suggesting that Peter's words should superceed Christ's words then maybe we should look at what peter actually said, together.
The word that translates into 'hope' in the english is elpis it means expectation (good or bad) So peter is saying if someone has askes you to explain your positive expectations or 'hope' then give an respectful answer.

when ever this is asked i give the approeiate response. that said peter is not saying we should answer everything asked. Christ Himself tells us in Mat 10, and in luke 9 to knock the dust from your feet and walk away if anyone is unwilling to listen. which further explains why I do not respond to all posts.

Here is a good example:
Quote:Now, get off your lazy arse, and start being a Christian who is always ready to give an answer for the faith they have, and stop making up shitty little disclaimers that go against your own damn theology.

Door to door salesman have a similar proverb, with regards to knocking the dust off ones feet and moving on. "Some will, some won't, so what?"

Of course, they have the benefit of a solid "so what"...you don't. That's ignoring that you have set yourself up as the body that decides whether or not someone is "willing to listen". Just one time...I'd like to see you acknowledge that you may be fucking the pooch with people willing to listen. Do you think I have nothing else to do than respond to you? Stop attempting to blame others for your failure and get better at what it is you claim to be doing.

Do you think you're capable of doing any of this?

I can not speak for everyone, but i know I don't unless the question is an attempt to derail the topic or is just beligerantly disrespectful or blasphmous. Basically The whole "Don't throw your pearls of wisdom before swine." Command Christ issued.

Thing is, Drich, from the perspective of someone outside your bubble, a person who refuses to cast their pearls before swine is indistinguishable from one who has no pearls in the first place. Which do you think I (for one) believe you to be?

Also, minor point but from where I'm sitting in this septic isle, blasphemy is one 'crime' of which I cannot be guilty.

Three times in the last week alone I have asked one simple, straightforward question (plus one reminder) of one of your fellow xtians , with no answer other than a short burst of red herrings in martyr sauce. What else am I to conclude, other than an attempt to evade and avoid the question? If an answer to such a bog-standard question is apparently so uncomfortable, how is any meaningful dialogue ever going to be possible?

Again I can not speak for everyone. I am not saying this is the case but some do avoid questions. As we are only ever called to 'testify' on behalf of what we know there is nothing wrong with not giving an answer if one simply can not answer it.

That said i would be glad to take a stab at it if you are willing to re-post the question for me. or better yet send me a link to the right thread so I can answer it there.
