Arizona law makers are proposing a law that could ban atheists from graduating high school.

Why can't dipshits keep their ludicrous religious beliefs to themselves? I mean, how hard is it to keep personal beliefs to yourself and not impose it on others? It's easier than riding a bike for fuck sake.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

BTW, Arizona state representatives are paid $24,000 / yr.

For that you do not get the creme de la creme!

Money has nothing to do with it, these state lawmakers are either lawyers or business owners. Federal government certainly is much higher paid and you cant tell me Bush Jr was poor.

How do you think they got those state seats, MONEY. They probably make hands over fist much more than the 24,000 in their salaries outside their offices.

Someone once wrote on my Facebook wall that "separation of church and state" means that the government stays out of the church, not the other way around (and my father agreed with this person).

I had put this person in their place, but stories like this make me wonder if some of our lawmakers also believe that that's what is meant by separation of church and state.
Don’t ask.

People always think something that is mostly in tune with what they want to hear as opposed to what they actually hear.

What is true and what is real are often very different.

Just like Joe the Fucking Plumber. If they were making money hand over first in their law or business careers they wouldn't be wasting their time in the legislature sucking in $24g off the public teat.

Once you get outside of Phoenix or Tucson most of AZ looks like this:
