As taught or discussed. There's nothing about atheism that needs to be taught or discussed.

Sure there is! Remember our muslim friends claim that everyone is born a muslim... but are then taught to think differently... atheism must be taught... how else does that make sense?

Hmmmm.....let's see here - no canon of beliefs, no clergy, no churches, no scripture, no prophets, no tax-exemption (the only part that counts, actuallyBig Grin.).

How the hell is atheism a religion? Religion is founded upon faith. An atheist has no bloody need for faith. Rather an atheist considers it ludicrous. Thinking
“To terrify children with the image of hell, to consider women an inferior creation—is that good for the world?”

Quote:well is'nt that the hole point of a belief?

Believing in something that is not factual seems rather pointless, doesn't it?

Beyond it's complete lack of factual accuracy?

-Vicarious redemption.

If I had to pick just one thing that tanks the whole bit.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That's a very simplistic and incorrect version of our actual beliefs; everyone is born on a natural innate human disposition that is compatible with Islam. Usually people can't be bothered to say that so they say everyone is born muslim..meh One piece of evidence that shows that Atheism must be taught is that no isolated community in history was ever reported to be atheistic in nature. Every community that lived by itself always worshipped something or believed in some type of creator or god.

I am not compatible with islam, I have never been compatible with islam, I required no teaching to be what I have always been - in those areas that are incompatible with islam. I was never taught to be an atheist, troll.

Most, if not all, atheists will tell you that they came to their current position by themselves.
No teaching required.
At least, get your facts straight.

Coming to a position "by yourself" and having "no teaching required" are mutually exclusive events, they are not the same thing. A person can still come to a decision by themselves with teaching, or can come to a decision by themselves without teaching. By "no teaching", I'm referring to no forms of verbal or written communication, which I very much doubt is possible in the developed world in the 21st century. It's just not true I'm afraid.

The Piraha people of the Amazon worship no gods, and a missionary was converted to atheism by his experience with them.
