Question for Christians/Muslims etc.

The resurrection of Jesus (along with his very existence) is an article of faith without any supporting evidence. Although I don't believe it to be the case,I don't know for a fact that the claim is false.Neither does anyone else. Your assertion is untrue, nothing has been proved. (or disproved)

When you see Jesus as a fictional character in the gospel narratives, then the resurrection becomes irrelevant. There is no proof of the existence of Jesus Christ and if he did exist the tales told of him have been embellished and greatly exaggerated by those interested in perpetuating the myth.

Archaeology fails to find proof of the existence of Jesus and things related to said event.

Secular history fails to have recorded the existence of this Jesus and to corroborate some of the stories found in the gospels regarding his exploits.

Any and all words in the bible claiming to be direct quotes of Jesus have come down to us by the authors of the gospels since Jesus never wrote nor had anyone record anything he said. So the entire gospels are based on hearsay.

If this were any other subject the tale of Christ would be dismissed outright as non-factual, but since it is a religion that is popular by majority, then people go out of their way to hang on to whatever shred of it is left.
There is nothing people will not maintain when they are slaves to superstition

Even your silly gospels never claim that anyone saw your godboy get up and walk out of his tomb. The best they can do is report that various persons (they cannot agree on whom) showed up and found various things (they cannot agree on what) in an empty tomb. You lunatics are thus left to fill in the blank for yourselves!

In fact, the one gospel which DID claim to have witnesses to old jc walking out of his tomb (the gospel of Peter) was declared to be gnostic horseshit and burned by the Early Xtian Book-Burning Society.

Except for one thing it would make far more sense that someone stole the body. That one thing, of course, is that none of it happened at all.

Your "faith" is thus sadly misplaced.

Reminds me of The Matrix! Only without the kickass action scenes, etc.... It's like the fruit=the red pill.

I mean I knew the Bible was full of a load of crap but I never knew it ripped off The Matrix! *tuts*

Actually I think there is good reason to believe in the resurrection (which there is no point going into).

People at the time saw Him, so it does say more than no one seeing Him come out of the grave.

(Poor attempt at post I know lol)

Really? You won't go into it? Why on earth not? As a Christian you have an obligation to bear witness to everyone, not just those of like mind. If you have evidence of the existence and resurrection of Jesus it's your duty to share it. You might be saving an atheist soul.

Declining to explain implies you're lying, don't think any such thing,or know full well we will only laugh at you. The ridicule would probably come from people with the capacity for independent thought and critical thinking.

And they saw him because the Bible say so?

If there's no point going into it why make a completely bare assertion like that, as if no one can tackle it with a response?
