How can a god, that apparently loves everyone, allow this kind of thing to happen?

How indeed.

I'm the one going by the dictionary definition. You're the one claiming that omnipotence doesn't mean "all-powerful" because the bible says there are some things that God can't do.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

You asked a question and made up an answer if "OK" was not a response to my "get to work" comment.

In other words:

You lied???

OK....

Fuck off jesus junkie.

I did not not imply that and you fucking know it.

Stop trying to derail the thread with your fucking lies.

Dude, just stop. I pointed out your dishonest tactics, deal with it.

1. As noted, most English translations say almighty. Might can indeed agree with your usage, or it can be limited as I propose (dictionary definitions have been posted). Therefore we need to look to the context to determine which is intended. I provided a passage which supports my position.

2. Regarding the ad hoc question - answer it. Can a Christian refute a charge that omniscience precludes free will by saying that god is also omnipotent, and so can do anything, including the logically impossible?

Yes because that is an established fact of discussion

I didn't need the picture, I added it for comic effect.

Omnipotence is Gods ability to do anything He WANTS to do.
But God is not compelled to do anything.

People mistakenly think omniscience is a separate quality of God's nature.
But the verb "to know" is a merely a sub-set of God's abilities of which there are many things He can 'do' if He wants.

Can God know the future if He wants? Of course.

Is He compelled to constantly know every aspect of the future. No. Why would He, of all people, need to worry about what might happen as a result of human free will?

Really? And where in the bible does it say this?

Do you agree that omnipotence is an expression that God can do anything He wants?
