Coming back to your post we got the same old problem.
I already explained to you that reading without understanding what you read and not remembering what you read is pointless.
I never said that medical science was or is not good in eradicating this or that disease as you claimed i said.
I instead said that as soon as a particular disease is eradicated there will pop up a new disease or instead the body or mind will be affected as the cause that trigger that disease is still there therefore a new effect will have to manifest in one way or another.
As we can see hospitals, rehabilitation centers and nursing home are full of sick people.
If you are correct they would be almost empty but NOT they are so full that sick people have no room to stay and they are parked in corridors.
Why i know that?
It happened that for the last 23 years i worked as wordsman and now as nurse in rehab centers and nursing homes and having to take sick people to hospital time to time i know how the system works.
You haven't got a clue and yet you want to show your usual arrogance and argue about things that you do not know.
The guy that has been elected as the new premier here in QLD. has already started to close public nursing homes and now is starting to privatize hospital by stealth.
Why?
Too many people are sick and too much money are needed so we will end up like in the US where you can die in the street if you haven't got money.

I just told you about the hospital system in real trouble as the sick people grow more and more with no relieve in sight and you now tell me to bring evidence.
If you want evidence just walk in any public hospital and see sick people parked in corridors.
If is true what you say that medical science is solving so many problem how come that the health system is now in deep trouble and out of control?

I went to a hospital recently, and guess what I saw. There was barely anyone in there. It was almost a ghost hospital.
Do you see how irrelevant that is? And how ridiculous it is to judge the condition of medical science based on a few hospitals in a few areas. Even judging all the hospital in a whole country would not be a sufficient sample size to justify your judgement that medical science is not working. You could go to africa and observe all the hospitals there and you would come away from that concluding that most of the world has below average medical care.

Thats because viruses that cause these illnesses and disease, change through mutation. They evolve. Thats why we don't have a cure for the common cold. So the only way medical science will make progress in your eyes, is if it eradicates illness altogether. You really aren't in the real world are you?

Yes, life is a lot better today. People died in their 40s back then from illnesses and diseases that could have been easily cured if only they were as advanced as we are today.

I see what you're getting at, but you're forgetting a few key factors. Firstly, not only has the average life expectancy increased, but the number of people surviving to that age as also increased - the global population has quadrupled in the last 100 years. A lot of illnesses, diseases and conditions that primarily affect the elderly will occur much more frequently, simply because there are more elderly people to be affected by them.

Another point worth mentioning is that our ability to recognise and diagnose new illnesses has definitely improved, so a lot of those "new" illnesses aren't new at all.

There are also a range of factors in modern day life that can contribute to things such as cancer, many of which we have yet to determine, but it is undeniable that our ability to diagnose, treat and cure such diseases and conditions has dramatically improved.


I think the most important thing to consider when discussing the amount of empty hospital beds is the number of hospital beds per capita. I think it's that percentage going down, rather the number of illnesses going up, which is causing the problem.
