Going back to the start of all this though the OP seems to have bailed, he initially seems to be alluding to a deist god.
An unstated characteristic which I suspect he assumed but failed to identify would be sentience.
So to start with he'd be looking for evidence of sentience from beyond our biosphere.

I don't believe in a deist god because I don't believe a loving God would be an absentee landlord, not revealing himself to us. If it is unethical for us to be absentee landlords it would for God too.
