As some of you know, the server that hosts these forums also runs a Minecraft server. I've just upgraded it to version 1.7.2-R0.3 of CraftBukkit, and it's free for anyone who wants to use it. Just PM me your Minecraft username and I'll add you to the build list.

It's running in Creative mode, but I was thinking of making a proper Adventure server as well if anyone is interested. Also, if people want specific builds (i.e. CraftBukkit + certain plugins, or other Minecraft server types) let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Update: There is also a Survival mode server running on port 2222. Again, there are access restrictions, so if you want to play on it, let me know your Minecraft username.

If you play videogames for the graphics and nothing else then you are a jackass. If you can't understand why people play a game with simpler graphics, it's you with the shortcoming, not the people playing it.

Minecraft's aesthetics are stellar.

Gotta love Minecraft. I have built 11x11 brick houses with a farm and ranch, and I also started working on a mining complex where I just live in a mine I've been digging. Make a hub area with tunnels going out, and carving some 90 degree tunnels in the corners. Make a path every three spaces, and it will cover everything.

I started a castle once, and got some redstone circuitry going where a door and bridge in the moat would open and come up with a switch. It was mostly the walls and a kind of meeting hall and blacksmith with a cobblestone maker in it.

If you can't get past the graphics to enjoy the game, then too bad for you. It's awesome, and way worth 20 bucks.
