Just provide the sources, like any good journalistic discussion would, and we can see for ourselves.

I do not know how to transfer that type of stuff from one sight to another. Computers are not really my thing, I'm a woodworker and do pretty good at that. Sorry I'm not able to post sites and pics, wish I could.
Thanks for the help Huggy74, I'm not sure why others couldn't google something a computer dummy was able to.
No one here feel bad for the family of the young man who killed himself because of Milk.

Except for the fact that Jack didn't kill himself because of Milk. Harvey Milk was fed up with Jack's heavy drinking. Jack phoned Harvey and demand he come home, whereupon Harvey found Jack had hung himself.

The strangest part about all of this is that you started off describing Jack as a 16 year old boy, and now are down to a 15 years old who committed suicide. Are you interested in truth, or painting a homosexual rights activist as a predator because you don't like gays?

There's a little button just above the text field on every post, with a globe and link of chain: just press it, highlight the web address of whatever you want us to look at, and copy/paste it into the resultant new text field. It's not exactly difficult.

More importantly, you make a claim, you'll be expected to back it up. This isn't something you're going to be able to characterize us as lazy or biased because we didn't see it; it's not up to us to verify every wild claim you guys make, we'd never be finished. Asking you to support your claims is not madness. I know your standard response to any level of questioning is that you're "not here to explain things to people" but you don't then get to castigate everyone else for doing exactly the same thing you are, with the added benefit of not having actually made a claim.

First, I do feel bad that the young man, though not so young at the age or thirty-three, killed himself.

However, there is no evidence to suggest that he killed himself because he had a relationship with Milk at an early age.

Quote:He was prone to depression and sometimes threatened to commit suicide if Milk did not show him enough attention.

It seems that the young man suffered from depression before he even met Milk, and that was the cause of his eventual suicide years later.

In fact, Milk even did the responsible thing by showing the young man that suicide was not the answer.

Quote:To make a point to McKinley, Milk took him to the hospital where Milk's ex-lover, Joe Campbell, was himself recuperating from a suicide attempt, after his lover—a man named Billy Sipple—left him.

You, silly theist, seriously need to stop making baseless assumptions that coincide with your prejudice.

Which really puts his "oh, how come you atheists aren't so good at fact checking where it conflicts with your views?!" claims into sharp relief. Dodgy

Read what you post the answers there, silly atheist.
Christians see a priest, a U.S. President, and a loud gay man all guilty of being a predator or pedophile when they have committed the crime, we do not hold any less responsible because of who they are, it's called absolute morality.
Most non believers make excuses for those they support, want find you defending a priest, even if he is a predator you call him a pedophile, as for the president you will only defend a democrat, but let a gay man be shown to be a predator and you will run to his defense and scream put his face on a stamp, he's a responsible person, that's objective morality good luck with the honesty in that.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Can I just say at this juncture that I haven't a single clue what all this is about, other than what I've seen here? I've never heard of any of these people or anything about the case. So any opinions I draw from the information provided can only be completely impartial and based solely on whatever facts are presented. Just as I try to do with any other story, similar or not. So there's at least one non-believer here who doesn't fit that description and I'm willing to bet there's plenty more.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Who is a predator? Please explain.

The issue here is that Milk was called a pedophile, but it is clear that he was not.

Are you drunk?

You understand people can read back in the thread and see that you're completely mischaracterizing what's been said, to make yet another stupid claim about "objective morality," and accusations of pedophilia and child molestation which, by the way -- THERES NO BIBLICAL CONDEMNATION OF -- to demonstrate that secular morality is somehow inferior to the same biblical morality that condones rape, incest, and slavery?

WOW! GOLD STAR!

I did it for you guys, GC wasn't the one that couldn't find the info.

I take it you're not involved in any sort of higher education establishment or have never written a thesis of any length?

All the utility companies should mail the bills with Milk stamps on them. A month later "Hey why are you turning our electricity off?"
