21 weeks is my most conservative estimate. I argue this with anti-abortionists as the very earliest possible point when self-awareness might hypothetically happen. 3rd Trimester, circa 24 weeks, seems a reasonable place to draw the line.

Most sources I'm seeing say third trimester begins at 26 - 28 weeks.
So, you're allowing a 3-7 week period of killing what you consider to be a person with a right to existence.

Sufficient brain development for self-awareness is a gray area, no pun intended.

Thanks for acknowledging that I have to when I discuss things with you.

It's inconsistent to say you accept 21 weeks to be conservative, when really you mean 24 - 28 weeks.

That you repeat yourself doesn't necessarily indicate that you need to repeat yourself.
Here's an article by someone who agrees with you that brain activity should define life - but says that sufficient brain activity occurs at 8 weeks.

Well, sort of. Everyone wished me well but I stepped down for not having enough time to devote to managing this forum.

That's understandable. As long as you stick around as a retired mod I will be happy

How much support does he have in the medical community? Reading his article and comparing it to textbooks on fetal development suggest he's pretty fringy. At 5-8 weeks, it's not even a fetus.

Pages and pages of running around the same circle. I'm eXhausted just watching and you're not even winded lol.
I still don't understand why we are debating late term abortion. If you're against abortion be against it and argue against abortion altogether. Debating late term abortion is so pointless.
