So that's what people in the 1st century were doing when they changed Jewish names into the Greek versions. The same thing must have applied when Greek speakers/writers changed the Egyptian Anpu into Anubis - they didn't want the god of embalming to come after them.

It says in Matthew 1:23 (NKJV) = 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
They dropped the name "Immanuel" like a hot potato.

This isn't proof that the Bible was written by English people. It's saying that the English just translated the corrupt and heretical Vulgate version into the English language.
You should be delighted to see that he doesn't have the qualifications to be a reputable scholar about anything. You can now look for those reputable sources of information proving that English people wrote the Bible.

The real reason wasn't as exciting as protecting the baby Jesus from evil forces.

Only in 1949 are postwar estimates employed, the figures given are for estimates made in 1948. A year or two lag seems to be common for various other population estimates given by the World Almanac.

While not unheard of for all sorts of reasons, that tends not to be as prevalent among social species as the 'lone wolf' types.
Even with social animals, such as humans, you'd need a less childish reason not to do something than “God wouldn't like it“.

The topic of this particular conversation is whether or not English people wrote the Bible instead of just translating it. The fact that it was around before English people existed doesn't mean that anything in it is true but this is irrelevant to the topic which you introduced.
Codex Sinaiticus, a manuscript of the Christian Bible written in the middle of the fourth century, contains the earliest complete copy of the Christian New Testament. The hand-written text is in Greek The New Testament appears in the original vernacular language (koine) and the Old Testament in the version, known as the Septuagint, that was adopted by early Greek-speaking Christians. In the Codex, the text of both the Septuagint and the New Testament has been heavily annotated by a series of early correctors.
The significance of Codex Sinaiticus for the reconstruction of the Christian Bible's original text, the history of the Bible and the history of Western book-making is immense.
Is that fragment the only text that survives?
