I bet you don't know this one

RE: I bet you don't know this one
I'm not a Christian or a member of any other religion. As I've stated numerous times all gods are imaginary and were created by con men to keep their superstitious buddies under control and to gain power and wealth at their expense. Not one god of any kind has ever done anything godly since some con man created him.

The God character in the Bible was simply the series of Assyrian and Babylonian Emperors who controlled the Middle East for centuries. The Israelites/Hebrews/Jews were nothing but their minions who did their bidding. There is no invisible (or visible) celestial god thing that gives a damn about anything on this planet and such a being certainly didn't create the Universe.

My opinion about self-professed atheists is reasonable based upon their comments, including yours. You simply can't resist defending the ethnocentric Jewish religious fairy tale.

Sure, buddy. It's easy to tell that you're a religious nut because like you, they're typically very fond of claims that can't be substantiated or flatly contradict the empirical evidence. That's you to a tee.

So you saw the error of your ways in believing in the Big Bang Theory. Good for you. You might soon see your error in believing in religion.

I must have missed the news where the prevailing theory among physicists and cosmologists was discarded.

I know you have trouble backing up anything you say, like the typical religious nut, but can you cite the names of any physicists who will undoubtedly be awarded the Nobel Prize for this remarkable breakthrough? That's not asking much, though admittedly, you appear to have very little to nothing at all to give.

If the Big Bang happened as claimed and if the Universe is 13.8 billion years old as claimed based on the time light from the farthest objects took to reach us then the whole of the Universe would be limited to a ball with a radius of no more than 13.8 billion light years. That's because the claim is that nothing can exceed the speed of light so it would be impossible for anything to be beyond the radius of 13.8 billion light years.

It's calculated that the Milky Way galaxy is 13.2 billion years old. So when the Milky Way Galaxy came on line everything in the Universe was within 600 million light years of it. Again, since nothing can exceed the speed of light nothing could be farther away.

The Big Bang would also mean that when it went "bang" it produced zillions of black holes which became the center points of all of the galaxies in the universe. That's because the claim is that there are black holes at the center of all of the galaxies that anchor their stars in orbit.

The Big Bang also means that it also instantly produced all of the hydrogen that rapidly condensed into balls to form the first stars. For some reason it seems that it took 600 million years for the Milky Way to get its act together but who's counting?

The Big Bang also means that if you look out into space all of the distant galaxies at 13.8 billion light years should look like shiny new pennies with zero signs of deterioration. That's because you would be seeing them when they were new.

When you look out into space you should see a spherical boundary at a certain distance that separates the new galaxies of 13.8 billion years ago to the current ones that show their age like the Milky Way and Andromeda.

So the problem is that if anything is beyond 13.8 billion light years from us then the Universe is a lot older than that or else galaxies can move faster than the speed of light.

Some people claim that the Universe has a radius of about 46 billion light years. http://www.space.com/24073-how-big-is-the-universe.html So using their figure of the Universe being 13.8 billion years old that means that the farthest galaxies are moving at 3.33 times the speed of light.

The Big Bang Theory may sound logical and reasonable to you but to me it sounds like a load of pure BS and special pleading.

The quantum foam theory makes a lot more sense that the Big Bang Theory does.

Bzzzzt, wrong answer. It would have been so easy to get that one right too......

Unfortunately, you weren't aware that objects are -in- space...as space is, itself, expanding. Try your math again, I'll wait.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Who gives a rat's ass if space is expanding? If the age of the universe is 13.8 billion years old based on the speed of light then any object farther that that is traveling faster than the speed of light. If nothing can travel faster than the speed of light everything in the Universe has to be within the stated 13.8 billion year boundary. And if space is expanding then our own solar system would also be expanding at the same rate. Do you have any evidence that our solar system is expanding in size? It's in space as well, you know.

No. Wrong. Thanks for playing.

Relatively close objects are gravitationally bound - the force of gravity pulling in is stronger than the force that is driving expansion.

Damn near everything you've had to say on the subject is utterly wrong and ignorant.

So you are just one step away from believing in ghosts and demons and angels. You're using the same logic as theists who claim that their favorite deity is real. If space was expanding so would our area also be expanding since we are in space. For some reason you seem to think that there is an edge to space and that everything rushes into the void but at several times the speed of light, except for us. That's insane.

A Catholic priest concocted the Big Bang Theory and it's a religious theory of creation. That's why it doesn't make any sense except to gullible people.

If the age of the Universe is 13.8 billion years old based on the speed of light calculation then everything in it has to be with a 13.8 billion year radius. If something is outside of that radius then the Universe is older than 13.8 billion years or else the object is traveling faster than the speed of light. It's really that simple.

If you go with the Big Bang Theory you have to explain which came first: black holes which supposedly anchor the stars in the galaxies or the hydrogen that made the stars that compose the galaxies.
