Per the original question, I would expect that the cold virus has probably spread across the globe by now, perhaps via air transmission and/or other creatures. Not to mention the rapid reproduction rate of the virus itself. I understand, though, that there are still isolated populations with no experience of certain diseases.
Per the second question, I don't have a standard phrase for when a person sneezes. However, when someone farts, I often say "well, that's working - now try your lights".
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
