Yeah, as c said it's a resident of Birmingham. The etymology is really quite fascinating. It stems from the Old English name of the city, bramwich (or bramwic) ham, meaning "the village where broom is grown". Yeah, Yam Yams are the stereotype of what most people think Brummies sound like, but in reality we don't sound like them all that much I don't think. People think Brummies sound thick, what they usually think of when they say that is Yam Yams.

It's rather like this. Historically, Brummies have always wanted to be part of the Black Country. So much so, that the region and anything to do with it is usually presented as "Birmingham and the Black Country", so as to edge into the definition by osmosis. ( Case in point.) It's a feud I don't see being resolved anytime soon.

Pocaracas, I don't really know, I'd dsay on your 30's... But the exact age is not easy to guess.
The grey hairs is common, I'm 20 and I have 3 or 4 grey hairs

My guess was 40's, since you had a family and were a researcher, considering we are in a crisis and it is not easy to find a good job earlier.
