What evidence do I need to believe in God?

From your point of view, none. But that is because you are not relying on anything real to insure quality of data. Believers of all religions and all god claims do this.

"Evidence" in reality isn't something that you feel or brings you comfort, evidence is that which has been tested and proven outside the bias of club labels. Only one method in human history can do that.

Yes and I use evidence thoroughly where it is appropriate. It just isn't appropriate to discover anything either for or against religion.

Good, quality information is what we need. We need to know exactly so that we can make informed decisions. In lots of cases information without evidence is all we can have. Humans have relied on this since we first were able to think.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

I suggest you read God: The Failed Hypothesis, by Victor J. Stenger for an appropriate and powerful counter-argument to that.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

A counter argument to thinking? Hmm

Took a look at that book. Empty nonsense. A whole book wasted on what can't be known, "the illogical pursuit of evidence for the non physical" would be a better title. OK if you want to confirm your bias. But critical thinkers avoid.

Now how about you check out a recommendation from me? Open your mind to a view that differs from your own.

It's a book of commonly expressed ideas with no conclusion of worth. The guy makes the fundamental error of addressing only the lowest common denominator of belief and lazily applying it to the whole. I flipped through it again in greater depth only to confirm my suspicions.
