It is your own failing, accept that and go from there. Hell, I don't know, maybe if you worked on your positions things would go differently for you.....revolutionary idea, huh? -Or- you could bitch and moan , it's up to you.

Prithee google search arguing on the internet meme.

Thus I refute thee, for verily there has never been a more accurate meme.

Get it?

The concept of never having a religion has always been a foreign idea to me as I have always had that part of my past. I feel a bit of a loss, I no longer have reassurance, nor will there be any divine justice that befalls the corrupt, the gathering of people to venerate a god spending their valuable time to reflect on him is something that while it was misused I miss the general idea of it and the feeling of unity. Mostly though I miss the recitation. Yes religion is a culture, a system, that bore deep inside of me and brought good with its bad. Now yes, I have purged myself of what was bad, but I also seek to regain what was good.

Again you blame -your- failure to communicate your own position competently upon those who you would communicate it to.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The fact that I am able to eventually to articulate myself is a giant leap of progress.

Thoughts that are here now, were not there then, I am constantly trying to improve myself while I am on here, and it is a slow process.

So, I think, before you can decide what is "good" with this or that you're going to have to seperate that from the value that you place upon it as familiar, or having been a part of your upbringing. While things like that may seem great to you, there may be nothing intrinsically good about them.

Do you eat collard greens /w black eyed peas?

I value these no more than I would anything else of my past, I am not one to miss things simply because they belong to my past or because I'm familiar with them. I value them because I can see how they can be used for good.

As for you how do you know something isn't good or effective unless you've ever tried it? Nothing gets an idea into your head better than reciting it 100 times over. And that is the secret to the success of religion, my decline in faith matched my decline in prayer.

Sin can be pretty fun as a sex game. Forgiveness, as I practice it, follows the pink imprint of my hand on a shapely female derriere. I assume this is what you meant by "implemented correctly"?

How do you know ebola is bad for you, ever tried it? That your faith declined as your prayer declined is supposed to be what to me - I'd call that a definite argument -against- prayer. If only everyone who stopped praying would stop believing.....

Also...you're waffling from one post to the next

Miss acne, miss a general lack of coordination as you grew into your adult body? etc etc etc Do you miss those two things precisely as much as you miss the above?

Certainly it would help a great deal if people stopped praying to a god but imagine if it was superceded by a secular version? People could then realize even faster that the effects from prayer are not from a god, but from themselves, it could possibly be a great confidence booster.

I never had either of those.

You expect a different outcome by engaging in the same behaviors? I don't. Turn secular thought into a religion and it will most likely end up looking alot like religion - nasty shit included. We already have plenty of problems, no reason to compound them by repeating the mistakes of our past.
