You can't make the lie or the perjury go away simply because it was about getting a blow job. The revelation of this under oath lie was not due to some republican investigation. The republicans never investigated Clinton....that was done by Independent Counsel Ken Starr with Clinton's attorney General Janet Reno's blessing.

Do you really think it was okay for Clinton to lie under oath when deposed during a civil lawsuit? Do you really take the position that when under oath....its okay to lie....just to save yourself some embarrassment?

If Clinton had lied about something else under oath...the republicans still would have pursued impeachment proceedings against Clinton.....Why?.....Cause he was stone cold guilty and they were trying to force his resignation. They want you to think Clinton got impeached over a "blow job"....That he lied a congress asking question they had no right to ask. But Paula Jones certainly had a right to ask those question to Clinton as part of the discovery process in her lawsuit against him. Yes there was some politics behind the impeachment. The republicans were using the Clintons perjury as a whip trying to get him to resign. Clinton wouldn't resign and the republicans had to go forward with the articles of impeachment. They were playing chicken and Clinton didn't flinch.....and neither did the republicans.

And don't blame just republicans for impeaching Clinton. Some democrats voted to impeach him too. The reason those democrats voted to impeach Clinton....is because Clinton committed perjured himself in a civil lawsuit.....not because he got a blow job. A few democrats at the time actually cared about the integrity of the man holding the nation's highest office and decided to rise above politics....and go against their own party and vote to impeach Clinton....because he had committed a crime....not because he got a blow job.

Clinton's license to practice law in Arkansas was suspended for five years. He was disbarred from arguing before the supreme court. He really did commit a crime....only the left wants to give him a pass by saying, "well he lied about a blow job".
